One of the greatest and most innovative guitarists in the history of rock n' roll, Link Wray was one of the first guitarists to use power chords and distortion effects, which paved the way for Jimi Hendrix and a whole generation of rock guitarists. Link, along with his brothers Doug and Vernon, constituted the legendary Link Wray And His Ray Men who were key players during the height of the rockabilly and surf music scene. Link's big instrumental hit "Rumble" remains one of the most influential songs in rock n' roll history. Featured here is the ultra rare instrumental single of Link and his brothers as The Invaders. The raucous "Rawhide 1965" b/w "Jumpin' Jivin' Chord Progression," originally released on the New York based Musictone label, is presented here newly remastered.
